Maya 2020 Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS Arnold crashed while loading UDIMs

Hello everyone,
so the gist is I have changed my os to Ubuntu cause it's the only platform my GPU is supported on.
I've installed Maya 2020 without any big problems, I've followed the instructions from Autodesk from here:
So the problem is that I'm loading big meshes with UDIMs. My setup is that there is an aiStandardSurface which gets the color from a File texture Node with Mari mode selected. When I want to generate the display preview Maya crashes hard. Same error when I try to render without viewport preview. I also clammed the resolution to 512px which isn't helping. Funny is also when I use Maya on my win10 setup it loads the meshes and UDIMs with ease so something has to be wrong from my perspective.
My system:
Maya 2020
Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
AMD Threadripper 1920x
GeForce GTX 970
32gb Ram
I've also set mayas debugging to True and saved everything the terminal reported, the report is attached.
