Hi everyone! It's my first post here.
Is there a way to make Maya 2020 backwards compatible for 2019? My scene is heavy with 2k textures, lights, and an animated high poly rigged model, as well as some procedural nodes for animated lights and displacement mapping done in the hypershader. My calculations say it would take me at least two weeks to render, since the animation is around a minute long with a moving camera.
It's for my graduation demo reel and I worked on it all year. But when I went to my campus to begin rendering on their PCs, they never updated to Maya 2020, and none of my work shows up in the Maya 2019 version, not even my textures. I'd render in 2020 at home but I can't stay two weeks without doing work for my other animation courses, so backwards compatibility is the final resort. Is there a way to do this for a really complex scene? Any help would be much appreciated!
