Maya 2018 prefs folder content

After I launch Maya 2018 and Maya asks if i want to copy settings from previous version. Of course I choose just new default settings.

Maya creates folder Users/xxx/Documents/Maya/2018 as expected. The content of folder prefs is really strange. There is some plugins and scripts etc that i use in 2017 such as cosmos, NSUV, AMTools, Quickpipe and so on.

Similar folders are not included in maya 2017 prefs folder.

I have tried to delete maya 2018 settings folder completely and reinstalled maya 2018 from scratch. Tried to launch maya and agree that it copies previous settings but nothing helps.

I have to admit that they don't seem to bother using maya 2018 in any way or at least i haven't noticed but i believe they should not be there.

Hi!

Try a reset of your preferences without de-installing Maya.
Rename the folder prefs in folder 2018 to something like prefs_backup, or to reset everything, the folder 2018 to 2018_backup. Maya creates new folders. Detailed at:

Hi

Resetting maya preferences doesn't do the trick. Extra folders still appear
everytime.

I kind of found solution but it feels that there is a bug in Maya 2018.
If i rename my Maya 2017 preferences folders as 2017_OLD and delete Maya
2018 preferences folder. Now when I launch Maya 2018 it does not ask if I
want to copy old preferences or create new defaults but it creates new 2018
folder with correct content.
