Maya 2017 update 3 layered texture broken

Layeredtexture node seems to be broken since Maya 2017 Update 3. The alpha inputs of the layered texture do not work.

1: Create ramp or file node

2: Create layeredTexture node

3: Connect ramp1.outColor.outColorR to layeredTexture1.inputs.alpha

And now you see that the layeredtexture thumbnail doesn't update with the alpha, with rendering it also doesn't work.

We are using linux.

Seems like the alpha of a file node is also broken?

Hi!

Here it works in Viewport and in Rendering, maybe you use a combination of nodes that isn't supported in the Renderer you use.

Please upload a scene-file.

Found out that only the thumbnail is broken, it does render in my current test.

Hi!

You are right, the rendered icon does not reflect connected "alpha textures".

You can report this problem (bug?) to Autodesk.
Help -> Speak Back -> Report a Problem

Hi @Anonymous,

I reported the issue to our development department.

They are now having a look into it.
