Hi,
Today I have just found out that my icons are the same for .mb, .ma and .mel.

Is there a way to reset them to the proper icons?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @alsndr

I've actually never seen this before!

You could try deleting your settings/preferences and that may fix the issue.

If it doesn't its possible that this may be how your Windows is reading the files and defaulting them to that Maya Icon so you may need to reset that setting.

Let me know if anything changes!

Hi Sean.

Thanks for the help! I did some researches and unfortunately I think that the only way to fix this issue is to re-install Maya. But if you could help me more i'll be glad to hear anything to fix this annoying problem.

Thanks.

Hi!

Try assigning the file-type (extension) to an other application first and then re-assign it back to Maya.

Hi @alsndr

I'd recommend trying @mspeer's suggestion first but if that doesn't work then yes a clean uninstall/reinstall of Maya may solve it!

Thanks mspeer and Sean for your help.

In the end i had to perform a clean unistall and reinstall of Maya to fix my issue.

Probably Maya didn't want to assign them in any way.

Now i can continue to use Maya regularly!

Thanks Alot!

Cheers.
