Making Water Go Up

So I'm sure other manifestations of this question probably exist, but I haven't seen a solution which addresses my situation exactly...

I'm trying to create an effect like this:

I can create the ocean at the bottom, but I can't figure out how to make a liquid go up along a fixed path. I like the way Bifrost liquids look, but fields/solvers don't work with them. I also tried constraining the emitter to the path, but the water created from it just gets launched in every direction due to gravity and momentum. I'm trying to have the particles themselves go along the path with an upper killplane at the end, and ideally with the emitter constantly at the bottom.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to make this work!

Don't worry everyone, I figured it out.

I appreciate the suggestions!
