Left Handed so I would to switch some keys

I use a mouse with my left hand but it's getting uncomfortable to reach across the keyboard to press the left alt key to move around the viewpoint. I tried looking into the hotkey editor to change it to the right alt key but It won't let me create a new hotkey for the tumble and track unless those aren't the commands.

Hi,

The Maya hotkey editor can't be used to remap modifier keys like Alt.

However, you can download Microsoft's Powertoys which has a Keyboard Manager that can be used to remap or disable keyboard keys. e.g. change the right Alt key to act just the left one.

I personally use it to disable the Windows key since I'm always hitting that silly key by accident. 🙂

Thank you for helping me out
I downloaded powertoy unfortunately I couldn't reassign the left alt to the right alt but I used the menu/app key instead unless you have any advise on how to get the right alt assigned. I'm happy with the menu/app key
