Is there a way to unfold the geometry to correspond with the UV Map?

So basically the geometry reflects the flattened UV coordinates:

Hi @Anonymous

There isn't a way to do this natively in Maya.

You would need to create a plane for example and then model it to match the design you want and then UV map it.

I'm curious though as to why you would want to do this?

Was thinking up some experimental ideas, thanks for the input!
