Is there a way to restore the unedited initial values of the parameters in the Attribute Editor or Channel Box?

This is a follow-up to this question. Last time I asked how to get the unedited values of these parameters. But I thought that if I called getAttr when they were edited, I would not get the initial values.

So please tell me how to get the initial value and even after editing, how to get the initial value and paste it back in and edit it again from the initial value.
