I'm making some extra buttons for my personal shelf to make life a little easier for me and I frequently run into issues like this. I want to create a button for the Smooth feature that resides in the Mesh dropdown. But specifically, I want to have it open the Division's popup when I do this (basically, identical behavior to selecting the feature from the dropdown).
However, when I use Shift+Ctrl and select the option to create a shelf button, it simply is recording what the state was when the feature was last pressed. It doesn't open the Division popup or otherwise give me the ability to change the subdivision amount. I also don't want to make a shelf button for the Smooth Options Box. It's not helpful and not done in real time. Having to open a window, select the subvision I want via a slider, and then hit a third button to apply it is dumb. I'm kind of at a loss for being able to port very convenient functions as they exist in the dropdown menus to shelf buttons. Please and thank you for any help.
