I can't move/scale different faces of my object independently

Whenever I try to scale or move just one selected face from my polygon it just moves/scales the whole thing, even though I only have one face selected. How do I fix this?

make sure your soft selection is not on , as you see in the video attachment this might be cause to this happen .

and I suggest to reset the move tool
