How to make Maya tumble disregard Y axis like Max or Zbrush?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am losing my mind trying to figure out how to be able to position the viewport camera in ANY angle I want.

I tried all of the settings in the tumble tool but Maya still tries to bias everything towards a Y direction which is not what I want at all.

Thanks.

Hi!

You can set the camera orientation as you want by setting the transform settings, but you can't change navigation behavior to match Max.

You can try Azimuth Elevation Tool / Yaw-Pitch Tool.
