how to make a node unselectable in the UI

Hi,

every now and then, I select an 'objectSet' node, which has too heavy meshes/shadingEngine data in it.

The consequence is that Maya never returns from the resulting (unnecessary) calculations..

So...is there any functionality for making a node unselectable in the outliner/UI?

thanks!

I don't know about unselectable, we can hide the objectSets from the editors, Outliner particularly.

In the Outliner>Show>AuxiliaryNodes... click the bottom list item and cycle through the names by continuously clicking o-key, until you find objectSet > addToHideList(Above).

@hamsterHamster

Thanks for your answer. However, I made my own outliner variants, the relevant one is only for set nodes ; ]

And I would need the option to make specific set nodes unselectable...
