How to give world position to objects with zeroed transforms

I'm using Mash to control a bunch of leaves of a tree. The leaves were separated as individual objects, but they all have position of 0,0,0.
I used a Mash distribute with initial state to make the leaves Mash objects in the correct position.

However, if I use any Mash nodes, it sees the position of all the objects at 0,0,0, so no individual controls.

Is there a way to apply the world space of the object to its current position? To somehow transfer the World Pivot to the object transform for 1000s of objects?

I tested a simple scene in Mash, and this seems like this is what I need to make it work.

There might be a script on Highend3d, but that site has crashed out and there's no other Maya script repository.

Thanks for any ideas/scripts

Well, it's just modify/bake pivot
embarrassingly simple
