How do I transfer a Maya scene to 3ds Max, complete?

Background Info:

In the link under this YouTube Maya tutorial there are some very useful exercise files:

    Overview of the Maya Interface

(1) I am dealing with the first one (01_03.mb). It contains a model of a house, indoors, and looks as follows:

My challenge is to make the scene look as above, under 3ds Max.

(2) I first selected "Send to 3ds Max" and the geometry seems to have been transferred correctly:

As Received by 3ds Max.jpg

(3) Next, I go into the "Slate Material Editor", which is empty. Fortunately, I discovered a very handy command "Get All Materials". Now I seem to be getting somewhere!

There are two rectangles named "Bitmap", and sure enough they point to two *.jpg files.

There's where I get stuck.

I am guessing that the transfer procedure cannot/will not do the job completely. It is now up to me to drag the outputs of the rightmost boxes and make them touch the desired surfaces.

Is there information somewhere in those files (*.mb and *.max) to determine the correct paths?

TIA

Hi

Convert the Mb file to FBX,  then import to max,

I think its work well.
