Home Grid from imported files on XY-plane. How to make it appear at XZ-plane as a ground plane again?

Hello,

when importing files from Max or UNreal Engine I have the home grid wrong oriented in Space.

It is somehow imported with the imported FBX file and so in Maya the document gets a vertical Home Grid in space instead of a ground plane.

How can I fix this?

Thanks!

Maybe the FBX importer changed the coordinate system.  In preferences, check Settings > World Coordinate System.

Thanks, but the axis (navigation) in the preferences is correctly set to Y-up, and the scene properly working.

Just this grid is like a foreigner from a different star...

I didn't find a setting, only specific to the grid orientation until now.

There is also nothing in the grid options...
