High resolution display setting to STL

Hello guys,

I made a figure using High resolution display setting (by pressing 3 at the keyboard)..

Everytime I tried to export my figure to STL format for 3d printing, all I get is the "image 1" figure instead of "image 2" (its what the figure will look like by pressing 1 at the keyboard).

Any ideas on how to export my figure to STL so that I will "image 2" instead of "image 1" figure for 3d printing?

thanks for the reply.. I think I can also do this :

Select the object --> Click Mesh --> Smooth..

STL file will become larger the more I smooth the object..
