GPU icon in Hypershade (aiWireframe) (GPU not supported?)

Hi there.

Trying to use the aiWireFrame in hypershade, but for somereason whenever I create it, I get this icon that says "GPU" and it has a 'X' through it. Whenever I add the material to an object, it goes invisable.

Does anyone know what this means

my GPU is a NVIDIA GTX 2070 Super (6GB vram)

It means the shader is not supported in Arnold GPU.

It also means you are using an older version of Arnold. GPU support for the wireframe shader was added in Arnold 6.0.3 (mtoa 4.0.3).

Thanks! Does Arnold Update along side with Maya updates? Or do you need to do that seperatly.

Separately. MtoA is updated more frequently than Maya.

Check Arnold > About to see if there's a newer version.

The most recent MtoA is available here:

Great, this worked! Once I updated the AIwireFrame began working with GPU. Thanks for the help, I haven't been able to find an answer for this for quite some time!
