GameExport SmoothMesh doesnt work with ZBrush?

Hi,

 

I use GameExporter and I have ticked Smooth Mesh.

Also in advanced options of FBX I have the same.

 

However, when I import mesh to ZBrush it is not subdivided like in Maya with HighQualityDisplay type of Subdiv I use.

What else should I do, to make it work?

Hi!

Smooth Mesh does not export the smoothed version, it just sets Smooth Mesh Preview to "on" or "off".

If Smooth Mesh Preview is not supported by an other application this setting has no effect.

You need to subdivide the model in Maya, and not only use a preview, if you want to have subdivisions in the exported file.

Try Smooth Mesh Preview to Polygons or Smooth.

You can also subdivide the model in the application where you imported the model to.
