FBX GameExporter compatible with neither groups or hierarchical connections

Hi,

My task is simple, yet Maya struggles.

I want to export each object (entry in Outliner) to a separate fbx file.

1 object - 1 fbx

I have 50 assets, each made out of a few objects, which are linked to the parent object. There are 50 parents.

Do you have any ideas how to make Maya do this simple task?

Cheers,

DS

If I will accept that all the hierarchy is exported to a single fbx file, there is yet another issue with GameExporter.

GameExporter wrongly names the parent object.

The first image shows the hierarchy before export.

The second image shows the hierarchy after export and import to a new scene.

Using traditional fbx exporter, hierarchy is maintained. GameExporter seems to be ...flawed?

Do you have any experience with that behaviour?

(3) Not sure if I should link or group assets.
(4) When I group them instead link (parent) before export, Maya adds "1" during import to a new scene, just at the end of the group's name.

This does not occur when importing to another program.

Cheers,

DS
