FBX export problem

Every time I export a FBX file it's getting exported as an OBJ file, the plugin is on and everything is in order but it's still exporting the wrong format of the file. Can somebody help ? thx

thanks for your post. Can you please confirm that you are using the same steps as in this video:

The little video shows the FBX export with default settings. Are you using the same steps?
