Hey everyone,

I tried to cache my xgen hair the way it is described here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Maya/fil...
...but unfortunately I get the error mentioned in the title. This is my first time trying to cache a description since I am a student. I selected the description accordingly and as soon as I hit apply in the cache menu, it says Error: No valid XGen node specified. I don't understand what the problem is. Thank your for your help!

Kind regards,
Dean

Hello!

It seems you need to go to Generate --> Convert to interactive groom

This should create a new node with "_splineDescription" suffix for you

Select this new node, then try creating new cache again

Hope this help 🙂

Cheers,

Xiao
