I have got education license for Maya 2014 , and I have installed it both on my desktop and laptop computers.
I have not used the product simultaneously, and it worked fine until Tue 09.12.2014.
Launching the desktp Maya 2014, I could not open files getting the following announcement:
#Error:file:c:/ProgramFiles/Autodesk/Maya 2014/Scripts/Others/fromNativePath.mel line 90(Unicode error) 'ascii' codec can't encode characters in position 33-38: ordinal not in range(128).
I closed the program at the desktop and opened it at the laptop and got there the following announcement:
Error:file:c:/ProgramFiles/Autodesk/Maya 2014/Scripts/Others/fromNativePath.mel line 90(Unicode error) 'ascii' codec can't encode characters in position 24-28: ordinal not in range(128).
Thus I found myself with no MAYA at all to study with!
I turned immediately to your Autodesk Customer Support, got a CaseNo: 10259749 and a commitment to respond to my case within two business days.
Today Fri 12.12.2014 , I sent a reminder to your Autodesk Customer Support , as I havn't been yet responded. I have been answered immediately supplying me with another commitment to respond to my case within additional two more days.
I am having an intensive MAYA course and I will appreciate very much any support in reactivating the MAYA 2014 Educational product in both my computers.
Thanks in advance
