how do i fix this it says a lot of stuff but only when i use this rig and it has cartoony cel shaders too im not sure. But when i open this rig as well it gives me the prompt,"

The file being opened was created by a Student Version of Maya. Use of this data by an educational institution or for commercial purposes is a violation of your Maya License Agreement. This message will appear whenever this file is opened." not sure if this could be the problem

but yea when i render it give me the same crash that it says in the script editor line the error tells me, "// Warning: Errors have occurred while reading this scene that may result in data loss.
//

Hi @james_sandoval0418 ,

Thanks for bringing your question to the forums! Hmmm, i think there are 2 questions in here:

For the student version error, try exporting the mesh as an OBJ and then re-importing it....i guess that will only help if its a static mesh though, not a rig....hmmm, you might have to rebind it and copy the skin weights and everything. but thats the only way i know of to get rid of the student data.

Regarding the crash on render, im not sure if thats tied to the student data, it might be tied to the toon cell shaders, test the render with a blank lambert and see if you get the crash from that, and go from there. You may need to rebuild the toon shader if the crash is tied to it.

Let me know how it goes! Warm regards,

Hi @james_sandoval0418 ,

Argh! That does sound frustrating 😕

Regarding the Arnold Toon render, i would recommend checking out this video:

Regarding the continued rig import issue, whats the rig? Is there a web download link you could send me so i can try it out? I would also note that the Agora community has some awesome free rigs as well.

warm regards,
