Duplicating motion

Hello, I have several hundred objects that I would like to have sharing the same movement (translation & rotation) but be offset in position and time.

Trying to do this as instances to keep the file size down but if I select the object and then edit/duplicate special/Instances, the selection "Duplicate input connections" is grayed out.

I see that I can use Edit/transfer attribute values' but it only seems to work if on one other object also.   What is the best way to control many other objects? Thanks. -Derryl

Maybe it's a good idea to have a look at MASH. I think it might be interesting for you.
