Ctrl+delete not working

it says this error message when I try to delete literally anything with ctrl delete: Error: line 1: Cannot find procedure "artAttrSkinPrevPaintMode"

and it was working perfectly fine until yesterday. I literally tried everything I could think of. it does the same thing in the versions 2024-2025-2026. I deleted prefs folder and changed the name to prefsOLD. It doesn't work. Please help. Thank you.

Could you show us exaclty where this happens. 
It does work fine here. 

Does it work on a fresh cube?

everything literally everything. a freshly added cube, something I already made, I even tried it on Maya tutorial mode!! it says the same thing when I try to delete something with ctrl+delete

You have to select some faces, edges or verts first.?
