Check if Maya UI is enabled or disabled (setAttr)

Hello!

I try to find a solution for this since hours. In the Maya UI attributes can be changed using sliders. (e.g. A fluid container -> Density Scale, Diffusion, ...)

When I change a slider, the setAttr() function is callesd. Ok, now let's assume that a slider or a text field are dissabled. That means I can not change the value. (see image)

Nevertheless, it is still possible to use setAttr(). Is there a way to chck if a "element" us enabled or disabled?

Wold be great to get some help!!
