Can't see objects in viewport

I was working on a file last night and when I went in to work on it some more, all of my objects were missing from the viewport. I was able to find some objects by going to the object display and unchecking the intermediate objects. The rest don't have any to uncheck, and I am still missing them I did notice that the bounding box min and max are set to 0's on everything I can't see. Are they recoverable still? I've been scratching my head on what to do!

Hello @bank8271 ,

Hope you are doing fine.

I loaded your file it is not in good shape.

The models marked in red are the ones I was able to get back by assigning  lambert2.

Can you kindly provide which version of maya was used?

what exactly happened that caused to losing of geometry data?

It will be helpful to debug the issue

Thank You.

Hello! I don't know why everything was lost, but I am using Maya 2023. It does take a while to save the file. I had tried to rig it but ended up unbinding the skin before I saved and closed out. Could that have been a part of it? I noticed any joints are gone as well.

Hello @bank8271 ,

Okay you need to optimize your scene file, from the points you have mentioned

https://help.autodesk.com/view/MAYAUL/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-FB4D46AB-9910-4A89-AE39-EB79D4FD02A1

unbinding should've not caused this issue.

But unfortunately the data is gone, you cannot get it back.

I would recommend you to set project, and save a model version first, do a new save as rigging and work on it. (good practice)

Thank you! Luckily I had an older version saved so I didn't lose as much as I did in this version. I will do that, thank you!
