Can't open Maya 2022!

I install it, and then I start it and it gives me a host of errors. I haven't been able to install and open a new version of Maya since 2019 on my Mac! This time I at least got it to install - I actually can't even open the installer for Maya 2020. I think this has something to do with how I uninstalled it one time maybe? If anyone has any answers that would be great. I have an education license so I can't actually contact Autodesk. These are the errors I get for 2022 (I tried resetting the preferences and re-installing it):

Hello @jmollot,

 

I would recommend to uninstall Maya 2022, following the clean-uninstall steps from this article: Perform a Clean Uninstall.

 

Please make sure that your popup blockers are deactivated and download the 2 installation files for Maya 2022 from your Autodesk Account. Verify that 2 files are downloaded and install Maya 2022 again and test if it works.

Unfortunately this did not work for me. I may have left some files that I couldn't find when attempting to uninstall, but I'm exceedingly cautious because I don't want to go in terminal and delete files and potentially cause a greater issue (like happened to me before). same error here with 2022, other mayas work fine. 2018 19 and 20

I had a module in Maya's base module folder (~/Documents/Maya/modules) that was trying to use python 2 code and caused the same error. Moving it in a versioned folder (~/Documents/Maya/modules/2020) prevented 2022 from loading it and I was able to launch Maya 2022 for a few days. 

However, the error just reappeared.... I tried to remove any custom modules from loading in 2022 but it doesn't work anymore...

i fixed mine.

the issue was caused by:
i defined MAYA_MODULE_PATH in the sys env variables.
this resulted in python code being auto loaded in all versions of maya.
python 2 code was loaded in the new maya 2022 python 3 environment
i imported some standard python 2 modules (ex. httplib)
these same modules were also included and imported by some default maya modules, but in python 3
this resulted in a clash between py2 and p3 in maya 2022

Thanks for the info. 

 

I checked for :

- all system variables

- used the error console to print `getenv(MAYA_MODULE_PATH)`  and removed ALL modules in these folders

- made sure no userSetup.py or .mel added anything to the path

But still got the error...

 

I uninstalled Maya2022 multiple times, rebooted but still got the error...

 

Turns out that I had a SECOND Maya2022 install nested in Maya2022's folder... Not sure why it happened since I generally use the default parameters and the installer should warn me it's already there... Anyways, I uninstalled one version with the windows unsinstaller, manually removed the second one, and it finally worked after re-installing...

Does Maya 2022 work on MACBOOK PRO 2013? I have the software and made sure I didn't make any duplicates, but it's strange that it doesn't pop up still. Any suggestions? (Also saved on a hard drive WD to be specific). Tried running every command I got from you guys, my professor, the contact support, nothing.
