Can't load Direct Connect in Maya Extension 2 SP2

Hi all,

Just installed Maya 2016 extension 2 SP2 and i can't load the plugin Direct Connect in the plug in manager.

There is a solution on the forum:

  Issue:Direct Connect Plugin not loading after update Maya 2016 Ext 2 SP1  (This also applies to Maya 2015 and 2016)
 // Error: line 1: initializePlugin function failed (DirectConnect) //

  Causes:Direct connect plugin error

  Solution:re-install Direct Connect plugin and make sure that this folder exists in your system:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\DirectConnect2016

But I can't figure out how to re-install Direct Connect.

Since Maya 2016 Ext 2, Maya has been using a different licensing method and thus Direct Connect is unable to run, as it uses the old FlexLM system.  

So Direct Connect actually only works up to Maya 2016 Ext1 SP6.  It does install in Maya 2016 Ext2 yet it doesn't work!!  That is why we have moved to the ATF which is still not as robust as the Direct Connect.  The Maya Development Team is diligently trying to make ATF able to handle the same import and export capabilities as Direct Connect. 

To be able to use Direct Connect you will need the 2016 Maya Ext 1 SP6 as a workaround while we try and get ATF at the same level as DC.. huge apologies and we definitely appreciate your patience with this issue.
