Can't find Mayatomr.mll plug-in.

I opened the render settings dialog box. The mental ray option wasn't in the drop down list. I went to the plug-in manager to set Mayatomr.mll to autoload. I can't find the listing anywhere in the plug-in manager.

Now would be a good time to start fresh with a newer renderer, as you know MR no longer exists, its cancelled.

You gonna waste precious time of your life trying to learn an extinct software.

Do yourself a favor and choose a new renderer engine if you are serious and passionate about 3D.

Go with Vray, Arnold , Redshift or Renderman.

Don't live in the past.

Best regards

Hi!

Did you install Mental Ray for Maya (2016 was your version, right?).

If not you should do this and make sure you use the exact same version as your Maya (incl. SP)

Let me just say one of the big reasons why MR should still be alive - ARNOLD cannot bake to vertex!
