Can I export Animation Compositon to FBX

Here's the situation. I have a cabinet with multiple boards in it (Like around 150 of them). In those 150 boards I have multiple types of boards so I model them in separate scene. Then with a script we assemble them in the Cabinet using references.

I did the animation clips in each Board scene. So when I open the cabinet file with all the boards I can chose to play a clip for a single boards by selecting the right composition in the Time Editor.

My question is: can I export those animation composition In to an FBX and then be able to play them back for each board separately?

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

You should be able to export them and play them.

I know when exporting to Unity for example, that an fbx will hold the animation values and it should play naturally in the engine.

If for some reason this doesn't work let me know and we can troubleshoot further!

I know the animation clips are working. the problem is I use references of
a board 10 times in a single scene. so they all have the same animations
clips. the issue is that i want to play them back seperately. It would be
possible if in the fbx file you have the information of the animation
composition and the animation clips.

Is it suported in the fbx's? if so I just need to be able to read it in our
game engine.

Hi @Anonymous

I believe this is supported when exporting as an FBX. Have you had a chance to try it with your game engine?

If it isn't working or you aren't sure, you could zip and attach the scene file or fbx here or via dropbox/google drive or another file sharing program so I can take a look at it and see if there are any issues!

Let me know if anything changes!
