I am trying to learn Arnold and still a relative Maya beginner. I am following along with a tutorial to create an eye. I am trying to create transparency in the scalara to see through to the iris. In the tutorial I have purchased, I have the tutorial creator's final project file. I have checked the Arnold settings, that I have come to understand can effect transparency, and they are the same on both the tutorial creator's file in which the transparency works, and in my file, where the transparency doesn't. So that should leave the shader information I have used being incorrect, right? This is what mine looks like.
Those are what mine look like. Now, these are what his look like:
So, as you can see, his scalara is gaining the look of transparency through his use of a colorblend node and mine isn't. Anyone know why? (Sorry if this is obvious or my terminology is lacking, like I said, I'm fairly new.) Also, I do have opaque turned off on that geometry under the Arnold tab in the attribute editor.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
