Basic UI question - lost viewport menu

Probably very straight forward but I can't for the life of me find it.

So.....

In a viewport there is usually a menu running along the top with titles VIEW SHADING LIGHTING SHOW PANEL

If for some reason this has disappeared, where is the UI menu to turn it back on again??

try "display-UI Elements-Restore UI Elements"

Nope that doesn't do it. That particular menu isn't covered in the UI section.

In fact the only solution I have found is to use Windows>Settings/Preferences>Preferences>Edit>Restore Default Settings

Obviously this means I lose all my other settings and have to go through putting them all back in again, but at least the menu has come back now!

I had the same problem, found you just have to check the box:

Windows>Settings/Preferences>Preferences then 'Interface' in the catogories list and check the 'Show menubar : In Panels" box
