Assigning "alt" to extra mouse buttons

My mouse has a clickable scroll wheel and two buttons on the left side by my thumb. 

I know it's impossible to change the pan, zoom, and rotate keys on the mouse when pressing alt, but i hate pressing alt with my left hand.

Is it possible to make it so Maya recognizes one of my side mouse buttons as pressing alt?

Sorry to say but maya does'nt allows you to use only the mouse buttons for tumble, zoom etc but what you can do is download a application in win 10 which will do assign the extra button on your mouse to click alt on keyboard hope it helps  https://youtu.be/bS31Xc_no10
