Artisan tools exporting and importing texture maps when mesh is using multiple UV tiles/udims

Hey all,

I have a model which utilises a UV set with UVs in multiple tiles outside of tile 1, 0-1 space.
Say I have a cluster with a weight map painted and i want to export all the painted maps for each tile (note I don't want to use vertex maps, strictly talking texture maps here)

As the artAttrCtx command only exports tile 1 I have a work around where by I loop though all the tiles with UVs and move the UVs so each tile is in tile 1, export the map, move the UVs again, export etc etc

Which work and I get all my exported maps fine.
The problem is when trying to do the inverse and import the texture map, it reads and sets the uvs in tile 1 but sets all other values outside of that to 0/black.

Is there any way to import artAttrCtx texture maps using udims?
I should say I'm currently using Maya 2019.3
