[AiMakeTx] OpenEXR "dwa" compression has a bug for monochrome images, using "zip" instead

Hello,

I get this warning message when I load textures, and it doesn't load it.

I have tried to change the render settings with zip format and merging AOVs but nothing seems to work, anyone knows how to fix this issue ?

p.s.: Now Arnold doesn't even open anymore...

Thx

That is not even a warning, it's strictly information.

To avoid a bug in OpenEXR, OpenImageIO will use zip compression instead of dwa compression.

OpenImageIO is what Arnold uses for textures.

This won't prevent a texture from loading, or Arnold from working.

What else is the Arnold log (set the verbosity level to Info) ?

I have the same issue and Arnold doesn't show up at all.

If you have the same issue (that message about dwa compression), then MtoA is loaded.

Hi!

ok but what is the solution to be able to render our displacement (in my case)?
Even in a scene with only the mesh and the displacement I continue to have this message, I tried everything nothing done?..

That message has nothing to do with any displacement problem.
That OpenEXR bug for dwa compression has been around for years now, and I've never seen any problems with the actual EXR, just questions about the message.
