Yesterday, I was in Maya 2013 (Mac), and I hit the keys "command" and "," (i think) and then something happened to my interface that I cannot fix now.
Before, at the top of my Maya window, there used to be a thin bar that had red, yellow, and green buttons in the upper left corner. These are the Mac OS maximize and minimize buttons. This bar also allowed me to click and drag my Maya window around. But now, that thin bar is gone. My Maya window is now locked to the upper left of my screen and I cannot move it. Also, I am noticing some error messages in the scripting bar at the bottom:
Error: file: /Applications/Autodesk/maya2013/Maya.app/Contents/scripts/startup/updatePrefWndUI.mel line 120: Value is out of range: 0
I've been Google searching a solution. Someone suggested trashing my Prefs folder, but there is no Prefs folder in the location the person told me to look.
I've also been considering the possibility of being in a full screen mode, but I don't know how to disable it.
For what it's worth, I've attached a JPG screen showing a before and after image of Maya with and without the bar. Also of note: the bar is present in all my other apps, it's just disappeared from Maya.
Any insights to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so I discovered something that may help....
My computer is shared by two users. If I log out as me, then log in as the second user, then launch Maya, that toolbar with the red, green and yellow buttons is there!! And there are no error messages in the status bar!! So, something is wrong with my preferences for Maya, but I don't know how to restore/delete/ etc.....
I fixed it! I had to restore my Prefs folder to factory settings. Below are the steps on how to do it. Remember this is for Mac only:
When I started Maya, the missing bar came back! What screwed me up trying to do this on my own was that Mac OS hides certain folders. In this case the Library folder in my USERNAME folder was hidden, so when I searched for the Library folder manually, I couldn't find it. But step 2 above will find and open the Library window for you. Then you can proceed with the remaining steps.
Hope this will help anyone else with this problem...
