3D Manipulation not working in Arnold Maya 2020

Hello all,

So I tried this a couple of times and each time I can not get 3D Manipulation to work in Arnold 6 Maya 2020.

This is when Arnold render view is open.

I tried fresh install and I still have the same problem.

I also get this on starting the app.

00:00:00 1126MB WARNING | [mtoa] [<built-in>] [node aov_write_vector] Assigning temporary node id 1138176 to associated Maya type name aiAovWriteVector.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you turned on 3D Manipulation in the ARV?

Its in the ARV Window menue.

It does work like expected here.

Yes, I did, worked fine in the 2019 version, but now for some reason, I can not activate it.
Like mentioned even tried brand new install, and still the same result, unfortunately.

Are you using the right Graphics Driver?

MtoA 4 does require 441.28 or newer.

Yeah, i do have exact the same problem, everything is clean (removed preferences folder and stuff) everything else "works fine" but for some reason 3d manipulation doesn't propagate the event for transformation (but it does lock the frame movement) but nothing else happens, and i can still transform the scene (camera) from the working viewport. very weird. and i don't have errors/warnings on startup. i can provide some logs if it can help solve the issue.

I reached out to support and this helped me resolve the issue. Now all works fine.

#1 - Close Maya and install the latest version of the Arnold plugin (mtoa). Download the plug-in from Solid Angle
https://www.arnoldrenderer.com/arnold/download/

#2 Reset Maya to default user preferences. This will rule out the possibility of corrupted modules causing the problem.
