Unable to Cache 3DFluid Shape(Smoke Emitter) Keyframed Animation

Due to needing to make multiple long renders of a smoke animation i've created, it would be best to have this smoke animation cached as that way the smoke effect will be the same every time meaning if there is a problem i can render from whichever frame i want. Also obviously caching just makes life a lot easier.

However, i have keyframed certain attributes of the 3DFluid Shape such as Density, Buoyancy, Dissipation and more.

When i try to cache the animation, i get this error:

// Error: line 0: Cannot connect to FluidShape1.inDensity. It is locked or already connected.

I assume this is referring to my keyframes. I can't make this animation without those keyframes and realistically its very unlikely that i'll be able to get a clean render out in one go as the render is fairly long. How do i get around this? I'm not an expert on the FX side of Maya so forgive me if this is a silly question.
