Make mesh from nCloth / physics simulation?

I want to run a simluation on a piece of rope (a helix) and let it fall to the ground, creating a nice rope-on-ground mesh. I stop the simulation at the point at which I would like to make a mesh, but I cannot figure out how to create a mesh at this point. I want to export it to fbx for use in Unity. Please help me!

Just make a copy..shift "D"...and drag it out of the ncloth simulation.

I was able to figure it out. First I had to stop the simulation. Delete history, freeze the transform, then delete the rigid bodies and such and then export as fbx. Right now I'm trying to make a nParticle simulation, and save it as an animation for use in video games. Do you know how to do that?

The way I told you is better because you can still save your simulation file and extract new meshes from various stages of the simulation.....about the particles I don't Ben, have you looked in the game engine, most have their own set of effects you can use.

I'm sure Unity game engine would have some sort of physics simulation of water. I just wanted to try to simulate it in maya and give it to them as an animation.

Just look under the Unity docs.
