HELP!! Maya 2018 hair stick constraint

Goodmorning everyone.
I have big problems with dynamic simulation a rope for a ladder.
I used nhair with a dynamic curve to recreate the strings of the ladder.
My fundamental problem is that in the various tutorials I could follow, such as this: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey5bLJUeWAg&t=1375s ) a constrain called "stick" is used from hair menù.

this menu no longer exists...

where can I find this command in maya 2018 ?

Or is there another way to constrain the beginning and end of my rope to two different objects?

Many many thanks

Lorenzo

Hi @Lollorenjh

This tutorial is pretty old and there have been a lot of changes to Maya since then.

One comment on that video actually answered your issue:

Maya now has nDynamics. Classic Maya Hair constraints are not supported by the Nucleus solver and have no effect on nHair simulations. To reproduce the behavior of classic hair, you may need to create an nConstraint to replace the classic Hair constraint. I used a component to component constraint. It took a couple tries to get it working, but it's working.

If you scroll down a bit on the comments you'll find that post and some more replies that should help you out!

How was this solved? The comments are no longer listed? I would like to use a stick constraint type solution in 2018.

Hi @Anonymous

If you're having the same issue as @Lollorenjh my above post still applies. I checked the video and the comment is still indeed there you just need to scroll down for a bit and look in the replies from Ryan Peplinski.

If you're having a different issue please elaborate on what it is.
