Hey guys I have a tree with square grids for leaves and I want to replace them with hi-res leaves.  I did this a number of years ago by emitting particles from each leaf then freezing the particles and replacing the particles with a geo leaf from the origin.

The problem is I forgot how I did it..  Can anyone tell me how I can emit 1 particle from each leaf and then have it freeze as soon as it is emitted?  I guess I would need all the tree leaves to emit 1 particle each at exactly the same time and then freeze.

You can set an 'initial state' for your particles after they are emitted under the nSolver menu - and then kill the emission. Is that what you are referring to?
