Disabling Nucleus causes slowdown

I can't really determine what is actually happening with this issue but as best i can tell when I disable and re-enable the nucleus node it causes a massive slowdown in the UI and all operations in Maya, input text into fileds, playback, opening windows - everything except navigating the viewport is virtually unusable.

Restarting Maya has no affect. Maya remains in this hobbled state until I reboot the machine and everything goes back to normal, until I need to disable the nucleus again.

Any guesses as to what is causing this?

Hi!

No problem here on windows.

Your animation settings, Evaluation Mode "DG"?

I'm not sure what that means.

I stripped everything out of the file that wasn't necessary and it still happens. I think it may be the nCloth constraints.
