Bifrost - distributed simulation?

Is it possible to distribute a Bifrost simulation to multiple machines (or to a render farm) or does it need to run on one machine only? If it is possible to split it up onto multiple machines,  please share the steps involved.

The way that Bifrost is heavily threaded is unfortunately preventing us from distributing the simulation, but it's something we're looking into for future releases.
