BiFrost collider issue

I have Maya 2016 and before I was able to collide the water with another object but now for some odd reason every time I go to make the water interact or collide with the object it never does it. The object just stays as it is and the water passes through it. I uninstalled bifrost from the plug-in manager and then shut down Maya, re-opened it and installed it again. Nothing. I love Bifrost and want to use it again the proper way. Can anyone help me please!

Also I am not getting any error messages when I try to collide objects, it doesn't give me anything. I did get an error before it said something with the "do delete" key thing but I don't know what it was.

Was this a file created in a previous version of Maya?  2015? 2016? 2016.5? Just be aware that each version has had various changes, and some setups are not forwards compatible.  Please check out the documentation for the version you are using to make sure your workflow is still valid.  Thank you.

The file was made in 2016, I just created a sphere and a plane added the liquid to the sphere and made the plane collide. Only it didn't collide. Funny enough though, it worked before then just stopped working.
