xpd patch file caching in xgen legacy for redshift.

Hi Guys,

I hope someone can help me with my problem. I have a hair that will not have any stimulation. I need to cache it into an xpd file.

Can someone guide me with the process please?  I am rendering with redshift and if I am not wrong, it doesn't support alembic cache.

I am using the xgen legacy tool which is the only one supported in redshift for now.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Add a groom bake modifier, hit the Bake XPD Groom button.

On the primitives tab switch from Random to From XPD file.

Save the Scene. All the modifiers prior to the groom bake are overridden and the xpd file effectively becomes the generator.

Export the patch for batch rendering.

Cheers
