Xgen interactive grooming - curves as guides

Hey all,

When providing curves for the guide modifier, Is there a reason a sculpt layer isn't appended to the stack in the modifier, like it is when creating guides from scratch?

Also, is there a way to control the percentage of guides created when using the "create" function in the modifier?

Any insight is appreciated,

The assumption was that when using specific curves as guides that by default the curves would be the shape desired. A sculpting modifier if not added by default but one can be added by selecting the inGuide shape and adding a sculpt modifier.

When creating guides via a guide or linear wrie modifier, the density of the guides can be controlled by adjusting the density on the guide modifier base node, either by the density multiplier or the density mask (which can be a map or painted texture) If you change the number of guides, you'll need to update the reference state (for linear wire modifiers)

Try not to go to zero on the density multiplier though, with linear wire guides, as that can cause the interpolation to fail and give you default straight guides when you go back above 0. This can be fixed by undoing till the guides get their shape back and updating the reference state in the modifier

as the guides in a guide modifer control interpolation, there is no need to update the reference state.

cheers
