Hi Everyone,
I'm new to Xgen. My requirement is to simulate the existing guides which needs to be exported as curve, once simulated in other package of Houdini, will bring this into Xgen and attach with those guides.
For that I have tried two methods as Xgen Basic and Interactive Groom. I've explained below what are all the problems I've faced while simulating.
Xgen Basic:
First in the Xgen Basic, created two guide
Guides Creation
and by selecting those guides, under the Utility, selected "Guides To Curves" and created the two curves.
Guides To Curves
Then those curves have been exported as cache
Export Curve to Cache
and simulated the curve in Houdini.
Once I import the cache under the Guide Animation, couldn't get the output.
Import Cache
I know the imported curves has come under a single Curve not individuals too. Then the Primitives has change on length and simulation behavior also same directions.
Since couldn't able to sort it out, so tried another method of Interactive Groom.
Interactive Groom:
For this I've referred from the below link [from 01:00 to 03:35 and from 09:20 to 10:50]
https://vimeo.com/241611365
First as per the link, I've converted the description into Interactive Groom. But instead of adding extra modifiers such as sculpt or Guides, with the default description base, imported the cache by adding "curves to splines" and then imported the cache into it. Those primitives got the simulation, but width of the primitives got changed, so reduced it manually with the "Width Scale"
WidthScale
and each primitive is too sharp and has offset in the position when compares with curve. I don't think so that this isn't also the correct process too.
So some one please help me to sort out this and need to know why the methods of Xgen basic and Interactive Groom too and why cant be it in under one processed window.
Thanks in Advance
