Baking Bullet Rigid Set?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get a bullet rigid set simulation and convert it to a keyframe animation. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I've checked the manual, but couldn't find anything.

It needs to be keyframes so I can ultimately export it as an .OBJ sequence. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks.

I'm also having the same issue, tried to bake the rigid sets but nothing. I'm trying to make a wine glass break for a class assignment. I googled through several Maya forums and read through the help from autodesk, only to find that, Maya standard baking only supports Bullet Rigid Body Shapes. It does not support Bullet rigid sets or soft bodies. I feel like there's an easy solution to this but i'm just overlooking it somewhere.

this is the link where i found the information:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Maya/fil...

Is there another way of baking the simulation into key frames? perhaps a 3rd party plugin?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I was having the same problem with baking the simulation but I found this resolved the issue for me: alembic cache

Hope it helps.
